iHeartMedia Alabama Tornado Relief

• iHeartMedia radio stations in Birmingham, Auburn, Gadsden and Tuscaloosa, AL have forged a partnership with the Alabama Broadcasting Association for the iHeartRadio Lee County Tornado Relief, a fundraiser to be held Wednesday, March 6, to benefit the Community Foundation of East Alabama’s Long-Term Recovery Fund. The tornado that hit Lee County this past Sunday killed 23 people, making it the deadliest tornado to hit the United States since 2013.

Throughout the day iHeartMedia on-air personalities will encourage listeners on-air and on social media to support iHeartRadio Lee County Tornado Relief. All donations will go directly to the Long-Term Recovery Fund set up by Community Foundation of East Alabama to help relief efforts in Lee County and the surrounding communities. All of the info can be found on the campaign’s GoFundMe page.

“Our hearts are heavy following the disastrous tornadoes in Lee County on Sunday,” said Ray Quinn, President of iHeartMedia’s Alabama Region. “On behalf of all iHeartMedia stations we hope our listeners will join us in supporting the Lee County community. We hope our recovery efforts will help alleviate the pain for so many who are suffering the loss of loved ones and of their homes during this harrowing time.”
