• Radio stations across the country continue to find ways to aid in Harvey recovery efforts. Today, the iHeartMedia cluster in Portland, OR swings into action, as Director of Marketing and Promotions Susan Reynolds tells RAMP, “A listener who owns a local construction company volunteered to drive his truck filled with supplies down to Houston to help those who have been affected by the horrific aftermath of Hurricane Harvey.”

She continued, “We did what radio does best and got in touch with people in Texas to find out what they need and what we can do immediately. We’ve been told that the Houston Food Bank is closed due to the flood and that local pantries are not getting necessary supplies, so we are holding a non-perishable food drive here at the iHeartRadio Portland broadcast complex. The truck will be here at 6am and stay until filled with donations, and then he will head to Houston to deliver the goods to the victims in need. It’s always gratifying to see people step up to help others in times of need.” #PDXheartsTX
