Morning Buzz Shows ‘Can-Do’ Spirit

• iHeartMedia’s Greg & The Morning Buzz, New Hampshire’s No.1 morning radio show is pleased and proud to announce that, thanks to the ongoing generosity of its loyal listeners, over $162,000 was raised last week during the show’s 27th annual Lend A Helping Can fundraiser — topping last year’s total by over $12,000. The annual Radiothon was held on November 16 and 17 from 5:30am to 7pm each day. The money raised from the Radiothon and its companion online auction will benefit 11 New Hampshire organizations that combat local hunger.

“The word ‘thankful’ can’t even begin to express how I feel about our audience,” said Greg Kretschmar, the “Greg” portion of Greg & The Morning Buzz. “Every year we ask them to help, and every year they answer the call. Knowing that together, the money we raised will feed hundreds of thousands of meals to folks in need is very humbling. We’re eternally grateful to our incredible listeners.”

Market President Joe Graham remarked, “Every year, we start with no stated goal — other than to help alleviate hunger in New Hampshire. Once The Buzz hits the air, the phones and the web heat up and we grow the dollars every year. This is the biggest total we have ever had — and is testament that radio makes a huge difference in our communities. I couldn’t be prouder of our team!” Over the past 26 years Lend A Helping Can has donated over $1 million to feed thousands of New Hampshire residents.
