Fabulous Foo Fest: Cal Jam 17
Busy day yesterday for Foo Fighters, who, as reported by Variety, announced a) their new Roswell/RCA album, Concrete and Gold will be released on Sept. 15, b) a new tour, and c) an ambitious rock festival scheduled for October 7 in San Bernardino, CA.
In a nod to the two classic California Jam festivals held in 1974 (Deep Purple, Black Sabbath and Emerson, Lake & Palmer) and 1978 (Aerosmith, Foreigner and Heart), this new festival has been dubbed Cal Jam 17 and stars the Foos and a bunch of their friends, like Queens of the Stone Age, Cage The Elephant, Liam Gallagher, The Kills, Royal Blood, Japandroids, Wolf Alice, Bob Mould, The Struts, Bully, Circa Waves, Babes in Toyland, Adia Victoria, Fireball Ministry, The Obsessed, Pinky Pinky, Starcrawler, White Reaper, Big Tony & Trouble Funk and more.
Cal Jam 17 takes place at Glen Helen Regional Park in San Bernardino, CA on Saturday, Oct. 7 and will also offer camping, carnival rides, a water park and other attractions, a mobile recording studio and other cool stuff. Tickets start at just $99 for a one-day General Admission pass.
