Zeb Norris Comes Home To KTYD

• Dreams really do come true for Zeb Norris, who has been named PD of the station where he began his five-decade radio career — Point Broadcasting Classic Rock 99.9 KTYD (Quality Rock)/Santa Barbara.

Norris has been in the building since March, first as co-host on The Morning Mojo alongside 25-year market icon Lin Aubuchon, and rolling solo since her retirement at the end of July.

After starting his career at KTYD in 1976, Norris went on to achieve success at KZAP/Sacramento, KSJO/San Jose, and KRQR/San Francisco, along with programming stints at Triple A outlets WXLE/Albany, NY, KUMT/Salt Lake City, 13 years with WNCS (The Point)/Burlington, VT, and most recently, deep Classic Hits WCVT/Stowe, VT.

“It’s been the proverbial ‘long, strange trip,'” Norris said, “and I couldn’t be happier to return home to KTYD. Over the years I’ve kept an ear on the station, and Lin left things in great shape, so it’s onward!
