Condolences: Mary Moser
• Our hearts go out to Bruce Moser, legendary longtime Buffalo, NY-based rock promoter on the loss of his beloved wife, Mary. We heard the sad news yesterday, and it was confirmed for us in a Facebook post by John Gorman, Chief Content Officer of WOW Media, LLC and a longtime friend of Bruce and Mary Moser since those lazy, hazy, crazy days at WMMS/Cleveland. “Bruce used to get me acts to play free events — U2, INXS, Bryan Adams— just before they broke big,” Gorman explained to RAMP.
“Mary occasionally accompanied Bruce to Cleveland. Mary was his rock. I loved her,” Gorman said. “She was a spirited, caring, fun-loving, music-loving, down-to-earth Irish woman from blue collar Charlestown, Massachusetts. Bruce met her when she was managing a record store in Buffalo, NY — ‘Home of the Hits.’ They were the picture-perfect couple.”
Gorman said, “In July 2013, Mary suffered an embolism and has been comatose ever since. [Monday] morning we received the sad news that Mary Moser had passed away. Our deepest sympathy and prayers go out to Bruce and their family.” [Photo courtesy of John Gorman]
