Please Help Jammer’s Family

• Last week we shared the heartbreaking news of the passing of Tommy “Jammer” Muzzillo, PD of Cumulus Top 40 KQXY (Q94)/Beaumont, TX after an extended battle with COVID 19. This weekend, Brian Philips, Cumulus EVP, Content & Audience, sent an email to all Cumulus OMs, PD and the Corporate Programming team, drawing their attention to the importance of contributing to Jammer’s memorial fund and sharing the link.

The email, which Philips kindly shared with RAMP, reads, in part, “Tommy was a relatively young man, survived by four beautiful children and his girlfriend Lori Roccaforte. If you go through Jammer’s social postings, you get a glowing picture of Jammer, the man in full. He was adored his family and friends, obsessed over his station, treasured his work, and added much fun and support to a community and cluster hard-hit by tragedy in the last year, Lake Charles/Beaumont.”

Philips continued, “We are glad to see many have already come forward to donate to the family’s GoFundMe.com account. [Ed. note: As of Sunday evening, the fund had so far raised $11,495]. This family’s needs will be great in the absence of their father. If you can’t afford to give right now, please honor Jammer/Tommy with your prayers and remembrances. The family expresses their sincere gratitude. Feel free to share this message with your air talent. Thanks for lending a helping hand to honor the memory of one of our own.”

• Funeral services for Muzzillo will be held at Encounter Church in Groves, TX on Saturday, January 16 at 10am. Visitation will be held at Broussard’s in Nederland, TX on Friday, January 15 from 6-8pm.
