Remembering Lori Garcia
The close-knit Fresno radio community is mourning the passing of Lori Garcia-Marsella, longtime National Sales Manager for Cumulus Country KSKS (93.7 Kiss Country)/Fresno, who died Sunday, September 17, after a courageous battle with breast cancer. She was 55 years old.
Garcia enjoyed a successful 30-year career in radio and media sales, and all with the same cluster under multiple owners, including CBS Radio, ARS, Peak Broadcasting and Cumulus Media, where she made lifelong friends with clients and considered her co-workers family. As her obituary so aptly states, “Lori was Kiss Country.” Lori enjoyed Country music, gardening and working on projects at home, crossing off tasks on her famous “List.” She had great joy caring for her kitties, CoCo, Mocha, Tigger and Licorice. Lori had such a positive outlook and touched so many lives during her battle with cancer always encouraging others at oncology treatments.
Garcia is survived by her husband, Cary Marsella; her stepson, Max Marsella, her parents and extended family. A Celebration of Lori’s life will be held on Wednesday, October 4 at 10am at New Harvest Church in Clovis, CA. Donations in Lori’s memory may be made to Community Cancer Center of Clovis, CA or Susan G. Komen, Central Valley.
