PULSE 87 Launches L.A. Franchise

• New York’s signature Dance station PULSE 87 just opened a West Coast branch office as it debuts on the HD-2 channel of Entercom Top 40 KAMP (97.1 AMP Radio)/Los Angeles, bringing the station’s popular mix of the best Dance music and remixes of today’s biggest hits to sunny Southern California. The PULSE brand has been around since 2007 when it first debuted on the air in New York on 87.7 FM and has been available online without a prescription since 2010.

Joel Salkowitz, PULSE 87’s owner, creator and PD, commented, “I want to especially thank Entercom Los Angeles SVP/Market Manager, Jeff Federman, who has been a big believer in what we’ve been doing with PULSE online and was hugely instrumental in getting this done.” He added, “AMP Radio PD Chris Ebbott heard what we were doing online and gave us his full support and the whole Engineering/IT team put all the pieces together on the technical side.
