Drew Hayes Exits KABC/Los Angeles

RAMP has confirmed that Drew Hayes has exited as VP/Market Manager and PD of Cumulus News-Talk 790 KABC/Los Angeles after a decade of service. No replacement has yet been named. This had been Hayes’ second tour of duty with the station — he earlier programmed KABC from 1998-2000.

Hayes had rejoined KABC in January 2013, transferring west after a lengthy stint as OM of News-Talk sister WLS-AM/Chicago. Before that he was across the street with CBS Radio as OM of News/Sports combo WBBM-AM and WSCR-AM (670 The Score). Earlier in his career Hayes served as GM of ESPN Radio, OM of WKRC-AM/Cincinnati, News Director of KKDA (K104)/Dallas and on-air host at WNWS-AM/Miami, to name just a few.

Hayes is now actively seeking his next broadcast-related opportunity and can be contacted at hayesradio@gmail.com.
