• Veteran programmer Tom Calococci has joined Sheet Happens Prep for Affiliate Relations and content creation. • Cumulus Media has named Nicola (Nic) Merenda as VP/Market Manager for the company’s six-station group in Topeka, KS — Classic Country KTOP (102.9 NASH Icon), Classic Hits KWIC (99.3 The Eagle), AC KMAJ-FM (Majic 107.7), Rock KDVV (V100), News-Talk KMAJ-AM and Sports-Talk KTOP-AM. Merenda joins Cumulus from Pandora Media, Inc. in San Antonio, TX, where he was also VP of Sales for Clear Channel/iHeartMedia. Already familiar with the Kansas radio landscape, Merenda was recognized as Entercom’s 2011 Sales Manager of the Year for his performance as General Sales Manager of KQRC-FM and KRBZ-FM/Mission, KS. Merenda began his broadcast career in Chicago with WLUP, WKQX and WLS-AM, where he was VP/GSM.
