Executive Action @ Music Health Alliance

• Nashville-based Music Health Alliance (MHA) has elevated four of the team’s advocates and welcomed two new members to the staff — Bonita Allen is promoted to Sr. Director of Group Health & Advocacy; Nikki Blackis promoted to Sr. Director of Advocacy, Insurance & Policy; Erin Lancaster is promoted to Manager of Client & Advocate Support and Jackie Proffit is promoted to Manager of Advocacy & Insurance.

In addition, radio and label veteran Suzanne Berg and Suzanne Spooner-Faulk recently joined the non-profit’s incredible all-female, 10-person team — Berg is named Manager of Advocacy & Insurance, and Spooner-Faulk serves as Financial Administrator & Executive Assistant to MHA COO Shelia Shipley Biddy. Berg previously worked in marketing and promotions at Elektra Records, Verve Records and most recently, iHeartMedia Nashville. She can be reached at SBerg@musichealthalliance.com. Spooner-Faulk’s prior stops include Tom-Leis music publishing, rpm management, CDX and the Tennessee Arts Commission. She can be reached at Suzanne@MusicHealthAlliance.com.

The newly promoted staff, along with Founder & COO Tatum Allsep, COO & Certified Senior Advisor Shelia Shipley Biddy, Sr. Director of Advocacy & Insurance Taylor McLeod and Project Manager Colleen Hoagland, will continue to assist more than 15,000 music industry pros with the entire spectrum of their healthcare needs. “I’m proud to see how our team has responded during this pandemic that has shaken our musical foundation,” says Shipley Biddy. “As the health needs of our industry increase, so does the need for personnel who can address those issues. Suzanne Berg and Suzanne Spooner-Faulk both have unique skills and the attitude needed to support their particular responsibilities at MHA. Spooner-Faulk’s attention to detail and organizational skills strengthen our admin department. Berg’s caring heart and outgoing personality and music industry experience provide the perfect foundation for a new advocate. They are a perfect fit for our MHA family.” Send your congratulations to the team @musichealthalliance and sign up for the organization’s free newsletter.
