Linzey Named SVP, People & Culture For CPR

Colorado Public Radio (CPR) announced the hire of LaToya Linzey as SVP, People And Culture, where she will oversee CPR’s human resource management, leadership development, employee engagement, and diversity, equity and inclusion efforts. Ms. Linzey is an 18-year HR veteran who was most recently a Sr. Human Resource Business Partner for the City and County of Denver.

“I’m thrilled to welcome LaToya to CPR’s senior leadership team,” said Stewart Vanderwilt, CPR Pres. & CEO. “Her experience as a human resources leader with a personal commitment to building equitable and inclusive pathways for each employee make her the perfect person to guide this part of the organization as we continue to grow.”

Linzey commented, “It’s an honor to be able to join the Colorado Public Radio family. I’m excited about the organization’s talent and culture objectives in addition to their commitment to equity, diversity and inclusion. I look forward to working with employees at all levels to make CPR the leading media organization in the region and the country.”

CPR has grown dramatically over the past few years, adding 46 new employees in 2020 alone. With the addition of Denverite in 2019, the partnership with KRCC in 2020 and more newsroom expansion, employees are now located all across the state. Ms. Linzey will be instrumental in providing the strategic leadership to ensure CPR has the people and culture to fulfill the organization’s mission and support its continued success.
