Mason Named VP/GM of SBS/NYC

• Spanish Broadcasting System, Inc. has appointed veteran New York radio executive Maire Mason as Vice President, General Manager of its New York group — WSKQ (Mega 97.9) and WPAT (Amor 93.1). In her new position, Mason will lead SBS’s NY-based sales teams across Radio, Digital and Experiential Marketing.

Mason was most recently VP/GM of Cumulus Country WNSH (NASH FM 94.7)/New York. She previously served as Director of Sales and Marketing for Merlin Media LLC and Univision Radio, but she most famously served as VP/GM for CBS Radio New York City for nearly 30 years.

Mason reports to Albert Rodriguez, COO of SBS, who said, “Maire is the consummate ad sales executive and one of the most driven and creative leaders on our Sales team now in New York. She’s a veteran of the business who comes to the role with passion and deep experience that will elevate how we serve our clients in the area.
