MediaCo NYC Taps deCastro As Market Pres.

• Veteran radio executive Ron deCastro has been named the new Market Manager for MediaCo New York Hip Hop outlet WQHT (Hot 97) and Urban AC WBLS, with a start date of May 4. deCastro is a 30-plus-year radio industry veteran who segues from his current post as President & Chief Revenue Officer at Townsquare Media flagship Talk powerhouse WKXW (New Jersey 101.5)/Trenton, NJ.

Prior to his tenure leading Townsquare’s largest market, deCastro led sales teams at CBS Radio New York, Clear Channel Philadelphia and New York including WWPR (Power 105.1) and Barnstable Broadcasting on Long Island.

RAMP has learned that Townsquare has promoted Brian Lang to succeed deCastro as Market President/Chief Revenue Officer at WKXW (New Jersey 101.5). Lang earns the transfer after six years as Regional Market President/CRO for Townsquare’s properties in Portland & Augusta, ME and Portsmouth, NH.
