Peterson’s Excellent Digital Adventure

Chris Peterson announced he is stepping down from his position as EVP of Podcasting at iHeartMedia and is departing for a brand new digital opportunity. In a note sent out to his industry colleagues, Peterson said, “After two and a half years at iHeartMedia, I will be leaving my role as EVP of Podcasting at the end of this week to join the LionTree team in New York as the new President of Kindred Media, building out the KindredCast podcast and working on other aligned and exciting initiatives.”

Peterson joined iHeartMedia as SVP of Podcasting in November 2016 and was upgraded to EVP in August 2018. He previously served as the Content Partnerships Manager for TuneIn, where he expanded the company’s podcast footprint. He has also worked as the Director of Operations for The Blaze and Director of Affiliate Relations for Premiere Networks.

Commenting on his tenure with iHeartMedia (8+ years including his time with Premiere), Peterson said, “It’s been an incredible journey — and being able to create the world’s largest commercial podcast network in such a short amount of time proves the megaphone that iHeartMedia has, and what this strategy was built around. I’ve been extremely lucky to have worked with such an amazing team and organization at iHeart and am very excited about the adventure ahead.” Looking ahead, Peterson can be easily reached at 646-299-5916 and/or christopher.peterson@yahoo.com.
