Red Apple Closes On WABC/NYC

• Iconic New York Talk station 77 WABC/New York has formally changed hands from Cumulus Media to Red Apple Media Inc., a subsidiary of Red Apple Group, Inc. John Catsimatidis, Founder, Chairman, President & CEO of Red Apple Group, confirmed that the transaction to acquire the storied radio station has been completed, effective Monday, March 2, 2020. “We look forward to working with this legendary New York staple radio station with all of its employees and talent,” said Catsimatidis. “It’s exciting for our company to be stepping into the broadcasting industry with WABC as the anchor for our growing media assets.”

The current programming lineup on 77 WABC remains intact — 6-10am: Bernie & Sid In the Morning; 10am-noon: The Brian Kilmeade Show; noon-3pm: Curtis & Juliet; 3-6pm:The Ben Shapiro Show; 6-9pm: The Mark Levin Show; 9pm-1am: The John Batchelor Show.
