Renewed, Sticking Around, Not Leaving
• Steve Butler puts pen to paper and inks a multi-year contract renewal with CBS Radio, extending his tenure as Vice President of News Programming and PD of KYW-AM Newsradio/Philadelphia. Butler jointly reports to CBS Radio EVP of Programming Chris Oliviero and Philadelphia SVP/Market Manager David Yadgaroff. “CBS Radio continues to be the industry leader in providing many of the nation’s largest cities with the trusted and credible local news and information that millions of listeners depend on day in and day out,” said Oliviero. “Steve’s expertise and influence has helped shape the ongoing success of our iconic eight all-news stations and will be critical in the continued growth of these brands for years to come. We are thrilled to have him lead in this important position.”
Yadgaroff added, “Steve has an incredible depth of news experience and instinct, and serves as the backbone of KYW Newsradio. As news gathering and dissemination advances, Steve will continue to play an instrumental role in the evolution and integration of our multi-platform assets.”
• CBS Radio AC KEZK/St. Louis has re-upped midday personality Trish Gazall with a multi-year contract extension. In making the announcement, KEZK & KYKY PD Marty Linck said, “I’ve worked with Trish since the ’90s, and I’m beyond excited to have her continue on KEZK. Trish has a tremendous ability to help us expand our audience through her energetic personality and the connections she’s built with both listeners and clients. We couldn’t be more thrilled.”
Gazall added, “I’m so excited I get to continue working on this great team! I love being able to reach out to people during the workday, and hosting the Totally ’80s Lunch every day is icing on the cake!” Gazall has done middays on KEZK for the past year and a half. Prior to that, she did the morning show for more than two years.
