Rob Barnett Makes Audible Impact
We wanted to take a moment and congratulate our friend and former business partner Rob Barnett, who has officially joined Audible, an Amazon company, where he will coordinate the launch marketing campaigns for original series at Audible Channels.
As you know, Rob is a radio, television and digital media maven who programmed radio stations across the country in the ’80s and produced and programmed MTV & VH1 in the ’90s. He served as President of Programming for CBS Radio before becoming a digital entrepreneur who founded and ran the original online studio and network, My Damn Channel for the past ten years. Most importantly to us, Rob was also instrumental in the creation and launch of RAMP in 2009, and we are forever grateful for his support and lifelong friendship!
• One of Audible’s latest projects is Ponzi Supernova, the newest original series from Audible, featuring exclusive jailhouse interviews with noted con artist Bernie Madoff. The six-part original audio documentary sheds new light on Madoff’s now infamous $65 billion Ponzi scheme. Journalist Steve Fishman spent years researching Madoff and landed these riveting and revealing interviews. Samples are posted online.
By the way — We know a guy who knows a guy who can get your radio station in on some of this sweet Ponzi action — contact Rob today at rbrnet@audible.com.
