Surf’s Up For Erik Logan
• After seven years as President of the Oprah Winfrey Network (OWN), former longtime radio vet Erik Logan announced he’s leaving to become the President of Content, Media and WSL Studios for the World Surf League. At the same time it was announced that Tina Perry, EVP of Business & Legal Affairs and a board member of OWN, has been named General Manager of the network, effective in January 2019. She will reports to OWN Chairwoman and CEO Oprah Winfrey and oversee all business and creative areas of the network.
Commenting on Logan’s lengthy tenure, Winfrey said, “Erik has been a great leader and was the driving force in the network’s turnaround. Everyone who knows Erik knows he has a passion for surfing and this is a perfect opportunity for him. Tina has been an important and valued member of the executive team at OWN since before launch and played a vital role in shaping the network as a member of the board. I am confident in taking the reins at OWN she will guide the network to continued success.”
