Chad Succeeds Forsythe… It’s Magic!

• At the end of January it was announced that John Forsythe, co-host of The Magic Morning Show with Chad and Leslye on iHeartMedia AC WMGF (Magic 107-7)/Orlando would be hanging up his cans and retiring on March 30, closing the book on a stellar 50-year radio career. That big day is now just 48 short hours away, and the station has announced his successor — market vet Chad Pitt will plug in next to Leslye Gale to form The Magic Morning Show with Chad and Leslye, starting April 2.

Pitt (left) most recently co-hosted the morning show across the street on former CBS Radio Top 40 WQMP (101.9 AMP Radio). His earlier stops include CBS Radio Hot AC KHMX (Mix 96.5)/Houston, and he also worked in Tampa Bay at Cox Top 40 WPOI (Hot 101.5) and CBS Radio Hot AC WSJT (Play 98.7).

In making the announcement, Magic PD Brian Mack said, “Although nothing will replace our beloved John Forsythe when he embarks on his well-deserved retirement after 50 years of radio, we can take solace in reunification with an old friend.”
