Elvis Has Entered The Building

• After a few brief months on the sidelines, Bay Area radio pro Elvis is already back in action, as he joins Bonneville San Francisco to lend his major market skills to the Creative Services department for AC KOIT, Top 40 KMVQ (99.7 NOW) and Urban AC KBLX/San Francisco and Classic Rock KUFX (98.5 The Fox)/San Jose, with on-air duties TBD.

The official “welcome aboard” staff memo from Brian Figula, PD of KOIT and 98.5 The Fox read, in part, “We’re excited to welcome Dan Lay (Elvis) to the programming department as Creative Services Specialist. Elvis’s extensive broadcast production, on-air and creative experience makes him a great fit for this newly created position.”

Elvis most recently co-hosted the morning show across the street on Entercom Alternative KITS (ALT 105-3)/San Francisco until early March. He made his South Bay radio debut at the late, great KQHT (Hot 97-7)/San Jose back in 1993. He’s probably best known for his decade of service as half of The Dog House morning show with longtime partner JV on KYLD/San Francisco (during its Wild 107 days). The duo later moved to New York to work for CBS Radio’s short-lived WFNY (92.3 Free FM), and from 2015-2016 Elvis and JV briefly reunited on The Dog House with JV and Elvis in afternoon drive on the former KKSF-AM (Talk 910)/San Francisco.

As an elated Elvis told RAMP, “I’m beyond excited to work with an incredible team. The people here are second-to-none with their creativity and passion.”
