Eugene Wakes Up With Chadd & Kristi

• McKenzie River Broadcasting AC KMGE (94.5 Mix FM)/Eugene, OR welcomes married major market morning duo Chadd and Kristi Thomas to host the Mix 94.5 morning show, starting March 1. They will replace the team of Liz Kelly & Mary Reilly — Kelly will move to middays while Reilly is leaving to concentrate full-time on her real estate career.

Chadd & Kristi most recently did mornings on Entercom AC WDZH (98.7 The Breeze)/Detroit. Earlier stops include Beasley AC WPBB (b98.7)/Tampa Bay, preceded by a 16-year run across the street on Cox Media Group AC WWRM (Magic 94.9).

“I’m excited to bring Chadd and Kristi to the McKenzie River Broadcasting family in Eugene,” said Jeff Baird, Director of Programming/Operations. “Not only is it a great husband-wife show with a proven record in Detroit and Tampa, but these are two great people. It’s a bold investment in local programming, especially in this time when radio stations around the country are moving away from live and local shows as a move to manage their costs. We look forward to the impact that Chadd and Kristi will have on the Eugene-Springfield media market and creating the next chapter for KMGE.” Chadd said, “We are beyond excited to be able to continue our morning show in the beautiful Pacific Northwest. We can’t wait to get the opportunity to soak up the culture and beauty of Oregon and get to know all of the great listeners in the Eugene area.”

Along with their morning  duties, Chadd will serve as APD for KMGE, while Kristi becomes the Social Media Director for the group, which also includes KKNU (New Country 93.3), Adult Hits KEUG (105.5 Bob FM) and Regional Mexican KEQB (La Que Buena 97.7).
