Two Markets, No Waiting

Veteran programmer/air personality Aaron Zytle has touched down in Central Texas as the host of the brand new AZ & The Morning Rumble, which will be simulcast on iHeartMedia Mainstream Rock KBRQ (102.5 The Bear)/Waco, TX and Active Rock sister KLFX (107.3 The Fox)/Killeen-Temple, TX. Zytle reports to Ms. Dana McKenzie, who programs both stations, and he succeeds Keith “Fish” Junker, who recently left radio after three years to sell motorcycles in Ft. Worth.

Zytle, who was born in Tyler, TX, notably spent 16 years with Bahakel Communications in Colorado Springs, and he was PD of Alternative KRXP until February of this year. More recently he has been doing mornings on Mountain Radio Group’s KQSC (Mountain Country 107.3 & 1530)/Colorado Springs. As Zytle tells RAMP, “It’s bittersweet leaving my home of 33 years, but my family and I are looking forward to Waco and all of Central Texas. The challenge of a morning show in a new market is one I welcome. We just need to get a handle on this Texas HEAT!!”
