Remembering Rebecca Falk
• The Audacy Detroit radio family is heartbroken over the loss of one of their own — Rebecca Falk, longtime Regional Promotions Director, who passed away last Thursday.
Debbie Kenyon, SVP/Market Manager of Audacy Detroit, issued this statement: “Rebecca was a true marketing leader in our industry. She was loved and respected by all of her co-workers and partners. She was a key part of Audacy Detroit’s success over the years, and will be missed.”
Tim Roberts, VP of Programming for Audacy Detroit posted a heartfelt Facebook tribute to his longtime colleague that reads, in part, “It’s taken me all day and it’s so hard even to put into words when you lose someone you love. Rebecca Falk was my coworker and right hand partner here, first with CBS in Detroit, and then Audacy with WYCD, WOMC, WDZH, WWJ, WXYT for almost 20 years. She was our right hand in everything in our radio world, tireless worker, fierce competitor, creative genius and maybe the biggest dog lover I’ve ever known. She also helped about 1000 charities…. We’re gonna miss her SO much, our hearts are broken. She would truly be blown away by the outpouring of love her way, she was completely selfless (never on social media) and always put others and everyone’s welfare above her own. That’s what angels do… RIP Rebecca, prayers for your family, God bless.”
According to Rebecca’s family, visitation will be held Thursday, Nov. 2, from 2 to 8pm at McCabe Funeral Home, 31950 W. 12 Mile Rd., Farmington Hills, MI. Funeral services will be held Friday, Nov. 3, at 11am at the funeral home. Following the service, Rebecca will be laid to rest in Glen Eden Memorial Park in Livonia.
In honor of Rebecca’s favorite color, the family welcomes those attending services to wear pink. In lieu of flowers, donations in Rebecca’s name are appreciated to Michigan Humane or St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
