• Mt. Wilson Country KKGO (Go Country 105)/Los Angeles embarks on its second annual adventure in all-Christmas programming through Monday, December 25. Playing all of your favorite holiday classics from Bing Crosby to LeRoy Anderson as well as newer hits from Michael Bublé and Mariah Carey, Go Country 105 will be your Christmas destination this holiday season.

“We are thrilled to offer the best Christmas programming around this holiday season,” said PD Michael Levine. Go Country 105 will continue to offer its normal Country programming online at GoCountry105.com and on-air at 105.1 HD3.


• At 5pm Friday, iHeartMedia AC WASH/Washington pulled the holiday lever, flooding the market with festive favorites from now through Christmas. “It really is the most wonderful time of the year, we’re excited to once again be Washington’s soundtrack for the holidays!” said Jeff Kapugi, SVP of Programming for iHeartMedia’s DC Region.


• Bonneville AC KOSI/Denver fired up “A KOSI Christmas” last Friday at 5pm and it will roll like that, 24-7, through December 25. Songs from iconic artists like Bing Crosby, Andy Williams, and Burl Ives are blended with contemporary stars including Mariah Carey, Michael Bublé and Rod Stewart.

“There’s nothing like Christmas in Colorado, and there’s nothing like ‘A KOSI Christmas,'” said KOSI PD Andy Holt. “We’re thrilled to once again bring our listeners their favorite sounds of the season, from traditional classics to today’s greatest holiday hits.” “A KOSI Christmas” will also stream online at KOSI101.com and on the station’s smartphone app.


• iHeartMedia AC WTVR (Mix 98.1)/Richmond also joined the Christmas parade last Friday. “We are thrilled to kick off the season with Christmas music on Mix 98.1, Richmond’s Christmas Station,” said Zac Davis, SVP of Programming for iHeartMedia Richmond. “We’re excited to offer holiday cheer throughout Central Virginia with non-stop holiday favorites now through Christmas Day!”

To the delight of millions, Mix personalities Jeff and Anna of Wicker In The Morning, Kat Simons, the aforementioned Zac Davis, Jay Stevens and Delilah will remain on the air for the duration.


• Meanwhile, in scenic Savannah, GA, iHeartMedia AC WYKZ (98.7 The River) is now doing the All-Christmas thing. As SVP of Programming Bob Neumann tells us, “98.7 The River has been giving the Savannah-Hilton Head area their Christmas music fix for a decade under the direction of PD/morning guy Mark Robertson, who by the way, is celebrating his 40th anniversary with the station this year!”


• Cumulus Media’s WRWM (93.9 The Beat)/Indianapolis turned on the holiday cheer last Friday afternoon, morphing into North Pole Radio 93.9.

WRWM PD Jay Michaels said, “It’s been a rough year — and what else can bring people together more than Christmas music? We’re excited to kick off the holiday season a little early, and spread some Christmas cheer to Indy!”


• It was also very nice to hear from our longtime friend Carl Strube, one of the principal owners of Port Broadcasting Soft AC WBAN (94.1 The Wave)/Bangor, ME, which made made its firm commitment to Christmas music at 12:01am on Nov. 18.
