K-Hits On The Air In Santa Rosa

• At 5pm PT yesterday, Amaturo Sonoma Media Group introduced a new Classic Hits station to the Santa Rosa, CA market by flipping Hot AC KMHX (Mix 104.9) to K-Hits 104.9, Sonoma County’s Greatest Hits.

In announcing the move, ASMG VP of Programming Jim Murphy commented, “K-Hits 104.9 will feature the greatest hits from the late ’70s into the early ’90s, and should be well received by listeners whose musical tastes were shaped during the 1980s. PD Danny Wright has done a masterful job crafting the sound and we’re very pleased to bring this exciting new station to Sonoma County listeners.”

K-Hits 104.9 roll jockless for now, but we are told to expect station vet Heather Black to return to the radio after the first of the year. Oh, and new call letters have been ordered.
