Boss & Bon Jovi In Perfect Harmony
• Press Communications’ Classic Rock WWZY/WBHX (107-1 The Boss)/Monmouth-Ocean recently teamed up with JBJ Soul Foundation, run by Jon Bon Jovi and his wife Dorothea, and raised over $60,000 to benefit the JBJ Soul Kitchens during an all-day radiothon to benefit the JBJ Soul Kitchens in New Jersey.
Last Friday The Boss broadcast live from the Freehold Raceway Mall and the JBJ Soul Kitchen locations in Red Bank and Toms River, NJ, raising over $60,000 in just 13 hours — which doesn’t include the online auction bids which close tomorrow, Dec. 13 ahead of the station’s holiday party featuring Super Trans AM: The Super 70s Concert Experience. Celebrity guests appearing in person and by phone included Jon Bon Jovi himself, Rich “LaBamba” Rosenberg, Jeff Pilson of Foreigner, Andrew Farris of INXS, Gaten Matarazzo from Stranger Things, Food Network star Guy Fieri, Live Executive Producer Michael Gelman, The Chew‘s Carla Hall and radio legend Scott Shannon.
“What an incredible day supporting the work the JBJ Soul Kitchens do every day to help those in need across New Jersey,” said Robby Bridges, VP of Programming and co-host of Robby and Rochelle in the Morning. “Thank you to Jon, Lou and his team for being incredible partners and to listeners and sponsors of The Boss for their amazing donations! I’m so proud of our Boss Jocks for making it all happen.”
