Gardner Extended At WMGK

• Philly Rock fans, rejoice! Beasley Media Group announced that Andre Gardner has inked a new multi-year contract extension to remain in afternoon drive at Classic Rock WMGK/Philadelphia. Gardner originally joined the station in April 2002 and celebrated his 17th anniversary there on Monday, April 15. Throughout his tenure at WMGK, Gardner has held down the same 2-7pm drivetime shift and hosted Breakfast with the Beatles every Sunday from 7-9am.

“Andre Gardner is one of the best communicators I’ve ever heard,” said Joe Bell, VP/Market Manager of Beasley Philadelphia. “His passion for the music, the audience and life in general is contagious!” Bill Weston, who doubles as PD of WMGK & WMMR and Beasley’s Rock Format Brand Manager, remarked, “Andre Gardner is king of the DJ hill in Philly. No one brings more passion or runs a tighter board with a pervasive knowledge of music. WMGK has benefited from his talents for 17 years, and I’m so happy we’re continuing Andre’s nearly two-decade run of success.”

Gardner (seen here lovingly bookended between Weston and Bell), said, “I’m beyond thrilled to keep rockin’ Philly’s afternoons on the greatest Classic Rock station in America. Many thanks to the Beasley family, Buzz Knight, Joe Bell and Bill Weston for their continued confidence and support!”
