Morning Moves With Seger

• Monday morning at 8am ET, the Big Jim’s House morning show on Beasley Classic Rock WCSX/Detroit will air a rare piece of Rock music history — the first-ever song recorded by Motor City rock legend Bob Seger!

The song, titled “The Lonely One” (which is reportedly about the same girl Seger wrote about years later in his hit “Night Moves”) was recorded by Seger and a band called The Decibels back in 1961 when Bob was in high school. Only six acetate copies of “The Lonely One” were pressed at the time — three for the band and three for radio stations — it only aired once in Ann Arbor, making this song exceedingly rare and valuable indeed.

“This is Seger history for all his fans,” said Big Jim. “It’s been a quest to find this song for years, and we’re honored to have the blessing of Bob Seger’s management to share it with everyone!” Experience some authentic Rock history Monday morning at 8am on wcsx.com.
