Now Opie & Carina @ WCYQ

• Scripps Country WCYQ (Q100.3)/Knoxville makes it official and formally promotes Carina “With A Twist Of Lime” Stewart from nights to morning co-host, now permanently paired with Opie Joe on the new Q Mornings With Opie and Carina.

The move makes a ton of sense for many reasons, not the least of which is the fact that Carina has been doing the job since last September, shortly after her predessesor, Krisha Newport left. She is also a current ACM Radio Award nominee for “Medium Market Personality of The Year.”

RAMP checked in with WCYQ PD Kevin King, who told us, “Carina is a future star here in Knoxville — she brings the energy, talent and determination. We are all very proud of her progression to AMD co-hosting with Opie Joe.”
