Pats Fan Enters Ravens’ Country
• iHeartMedia Country WPOC/Baltimore has named Francesca Presti as the new co-host of the Laurie DeYoung Morning Show. She starts on Dec. 4 and will plug in next to hosts Laurie DeYoung and Jeff St. Pierre. “Francesca Presti is a force,” said DeYoung. “‘Fierce Francesca’ is what comes to mind when I think of her enthusiasm and unique take on life. Baltimore will never be the same.”
Presto (left) is a major market veteran who is already used to waking up in the dark — she spent the past five years as Traffic Reporter and Associate Producer on the Karson & Kennedy Morning Show on WBMX (Mix 104.1)/Boston. She previously worked on-air and as Assistant Marketing Director for radio stations in New Hampshire. “Francesca is the perfect complement to our amazing on-air personalities on The Laurie DeYoung Show,” said Jeff Wyatt, SVP of Programming for iHeartMedia Baltimore. “I can’t wait to hear it all come together on 93.1 WPOC!” Presti remarked, “This really is a dream come true. I couldn’t be more elated to be given the privilege of joining The Laurie DeYoung Show on heritage 93.1 WPOC. I can’t wait to get to work waking Baltimore up every morning!”
Presti succeeds Claire Scattergood, who in September announced her desire to step down to focus on being a fulltime mom.
