Formats You’ll Flip Over
• Last Friday, January 19, at 6:30pm Cox Media Group brought Active Rock to Tulsa, OK with the launch of 105.7 The Bone, “Tulsa’s Real Rock,” replacing Contemporary Christian Spirit 105.7. The Bone is powered by translator K289CC and available on KWEN-HD2 and is under the command of Kim Dallow, who also programs Classic Rock KJSR (103.3 The Eagle).

Addressing the loss of Spirit 105.7, Gunther said, “It’s never easy to say goodbye to a radio station. For several years, Cox Media Group Tulsa has had a team of dedicated individuals who poured their love and energy into Spirit 105.7, and it’s extremely difficult to have to move on. We are extremely grateful to all of the listeners and clients who joined us on our Spirit journey and extend our sincere thanks for their support.”
On a brighter note, 105.7 The Bone has been designed to be the most music-intensive station in the market, launching with limited interruptions and at least 55 minutes of music every hour. The station will also be completely commercial-free each weekend, beginning Fridays at 5pm.
