Formats You’ll Flip Over

• iHeartMedia West Palm Beach yesterday debuted Wave 93.3, No. 1 for New Country. Wave 93.3 will play stuff from well known artists like Little Big Town, Sam Hunt, Jason Aldean, Carrie Underwood, Tim McGraw, Kenny Chesney, Thomas Rhett, etc. and feature The Bobby Bones Show in mornings, Health West in middays, Eric Hunter from 3-8pm and Michael J. from 8pm-midnight.

“Wave 93.3 is home to The Bobby Bones Show and today’s best in Country,” said Rad Messick, SVP of Programming for iHeartMedia’s South Florida Region. “We’re excited to bring the community a fresh choice for Country in the Palm Beaches.”

• Cumulus Media has reintroduced Classic Hits into the Youngstown, OH market by flipping WWIZ (Rock 104) to Z104, The Valley’s Good Time Oldies, using Westwood One’s “Good Time Oldies” format.

Z104 fills the year-old Oldies gap created last April when iHeartMedia flipped its former Youngstown Oldies outlet to Country. Bill Kelly, VP/Market Manager of Cumulus Media Youngstown, said, “For almost a year, listeners and advertisers have told us how much they miss Oldies on the radio. We are very pleased to fill that void with Z104, Youngstown’s destination Oldies station.”
