Bland Is Best For KMLE/Phoenix

RAMP has gone ahead and confirmed that radio and record industry pro Drew Bland, most recently VP of Promotion at Monument Records, has returned to his former stomping grounds — Audacy Country KMLE/Phoenix, this time bearing the official title Local Brand Manager/Executive Producer.

You may recall that KMLE has not had a permanent PD since Tim Richards exited last September along with other staffers when the former Entercom “reimagined” its Country and Alternative departments.

As we said, the move is a radio homecoming for Bland, who notably spent seven years with KMLE under former owner CBS Radio, rising to APD/MD/midday personality. In June 2014 Bland relocated to sunny Orlando for three years as Director of Branding and Programming for Cox Media Group Country WWKA (K92.3), followed by another three-year stint as PD of Audacy (then Entercom) Country KKWF (100.7 The Wolf)/Seattle. He transitioned to the label side April 2020 when he joined Monument as VP of Promotion before exiting in June.

Bland is now on the job and can be reached at Drew.Bland@audacy.com.
