Condolences: Mike Trivisonno
• It is with heavy hearts that the staff of iHeartMedia’s NewsRadio WTAM 1100/Cleveland announces the sudden passing of afternoon host (and market legend) Mike “Triv” Trivisonno. He was 74 years old.
Trivisonno, a Cleveland native, began his talk radio career in 1986 and had worked at WTAM for 27 years. Since his days as “Mr. Know-it-All,” Triv has been voted “Best Talk Show Host” by Scene Magazine and The Achievement in Radio Awards. The Cleveland Plain Dealer dubbed Trivisonno, simply, “The Voice of Cleveland,” Cleveland Magazine named him “One of Cleveland’s 50 Most Interesting People,” and he was a 2003 NAB Marconi finalist for “Personality of the Year.”
Over the course of his career Triv proudly raised over $5 million for local charities, including his annual “Vegas Show Benefit” in support of Coats for Kids.
A memorial on the WTAM website reads, in part, “Although ‘The Voice of Cleveland’ has been silenced, his impact on Cleveland will be felt and heard for years to come. All of us here at WTAM send our love and support to his family during this difficult time. We will bring you more details as we receive them, including information on memorials.” Triv is survived by Tami, his wife of ten years, and four children.
