Craig Carton Doc Trailer Released
• HBO has released the trailer for the highly anticipated documentary about the rise — and stunning fall — of former WFAN/New York morning co-host Craig Carton. Wild Card: The Downfall of a Radio Loudmouth, chronicles Carton’s well documented gambling addiction and how it led to his 2017 arrest, termination and imprisonment.
Through a series of candid and intimate first-person interviews with Carton and his former colleagues, Wild Card: The Downfall of a Radio Loudmouth reveals how his secret insatiable gambling addiction, financed by an illicit ticket-broking business, brought his career to a sudden halt when he was arrested by FBI agents on September 6, 2017 and charged with conspiracy, wire fraud and securities fraud. The film includes interviews with his former co-host, NFL Hall of Fame quarterback Boomer Esiason, former New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie, and Carton’s other former colleagues Al Dukes, Jerry Recco, Eddie Scozzare and longtime WFAN executive Mark Chernoff, now SVP of Entercom New York.
Directed and produced by Martin Dunn & Marie McGovern of StreetSmartVideo, the film debuts Wednesday, Oct. 7 at 9pm ET/PT on HBO and HBO Max.
