Hancock Never Leaving WBT/Charlotte

• Entercom News-Talk WBT/Charlotte announced a multiyear extension with longtime host John Hancock, whose show will continue to air on News 1110AM & 99.3FM WBT weekdays from 3-6pm. Hancock has been with the station since 1990 and was recently inducted to the WBT Hall of Fame.

“John represents one of the most unique radio personalities in America today,” said Matt Hanlon, VP/Market Manager, Entercom Charlotte. “He’s a WBT Hall of Famer and still delivers a contemporary message every day that the listeners can count on.” Hancock, often referred to as “Charlotte’s Most Beloved,” remarked, “This contract pretty much guarantees I’ll retire at WBT. I couldn’t be more excited to continue my 27-year run, and I’m thrilled to be a part of the new Entercom that is emerging from the CBS merger. Special thanks to the people of Charlotte, who have allowed me so much success. I’m proud to be part of the 95-year-old legacy of ‘The Great Colossus of the South,’ WBT.”
