New Hampshire Supports Its Vets

• iHeartMedia New Hampshire proudly presents its 4th annual Make 12 Hours Count Radiothon, which kicks off at 6am today. The 12-hour broadcast will once again be anchored by Jack Heath, the host of New Hampshire Today, which is based at WGIR-AM (NewsRadio 610)/Manchester, NH and also enjoyed weekday morning on sister WQSO (NewsRadio 96.7)/Portsmouth and the New Hampshire Today Network, which includes WKXL-FM/Concord and WASR-AM/Lakes Region, NH.

The Radiothon will feature interviews with service members, ranging from World War II vets to current members of the military. Proceeds will benefit Veterans Count, which provides financial assistance, services and resources to New Hampshire veterans, service members and their families.

“What started as an impassioned rant on-air about improving our servicemen and women’s benefits turned into a successful community Radiothon that makes a positive impact on the lives of our local veterans,” said Heath. “Last year the Make 12 Hours Count Radiothon raised nearly $140,000 and we were astounded; this year, we merely wish to match that number.”

The Make 12 Hours Count Radiothon is presented by Long Term Care Partners, with 12 local sponsors anchoring each hour of the broadcast. To date, Make 12 Hours Count has raised over $350,000 to benefit local veterans and military members. To donate to Veterans Count, visit NewsRadio967.com or wgiram.com.
