• Entercom Sports-Talk WFNZ/Charlotte has re-upped Frank Garcia in a multiyear deal. Garcia is co-host of The Garcia and Bailey Show, which airs weekdays from 10am to 2pm. Garcia is a former NFL player who joined WFNZ in 2007. Prior to that, he spent the majority of his pro football career with the Carolina Panthers, followed by stints with the Arizona Cardinals and St. Louis Rams.

“Frank Garcia brings over 10 years of professional broadcast experience to WFNZ,” said Matt Hanlon, VP/Market Manager of Entercom Charlotte. “He remains a valuable resource from his professional playing days and his overall knowledge of sports. We are thrilled he’s committed to WFNZ and Entercom for the future.” Garcia commented, “I’m excited to continue my long-lasting relationship with WFNZ and Entercom. I really appreciate the loyalty, support and commitment I have received over the years and I look forward to continue working with this team that dominates sports talk in the midday here in Charlotte.”

• Enjoy these changes inside the Midwest Communications broadcast complex in scenic Sioux Falls, IA, just five short hours east of Mt. Rushmore — according to OM Tom Gjerdrum, the action begins inside Country powerhouse KTWB (Big Country 92.5), which welcomes KC Capra to “live” nights. Capra (left) is inbound from Beasley Top 40 WNKS (Kiss 95.1)/Charlotte where he was a promotions staffer and part-time air personality.

Capra succeeds former KTWB night jock Robbie Owens (second from left), who is elevated into the “live” PM drive shift. And finally, Ryan Kelly (second from right) unplugs from middays on AC 101.9 KELO and joins KTWB to handle the 9am noon shift, as longtime KTWB afternoon star Cindy Rippe (right), passes Kelly in the hallway as she transitions into middays on KELO.
