Sports Hub Re-Ups Toucher, Rich, Pats
• Beasley Media Group and Fred Toucher and Rich Shertenlieb recently cracked open a couple of bottles of semi-expensive bubbly to celebrate the signing of a sweet new multiyear deal to continue to do mornings at WBZ-FM (98.5 The Sports Hub)/Boston for years to come.
The guys (that’s Rich on the left, Fred on the right) have been on the air together since June 2006 (doing afternoons at the late, legendary WBCN/Boston) and have been the top-rated morning show with men in Boston since The Sports Hub’s launch in 2009.
“Toucher & Rich are the most creative guys I know with real raw talent that you cannot teach,” said Mike Thomas, who multitasks as Brand Manager for 98.5 The Sports Hub and National Format Brand Manager for the company’s Spoken Word/eSports formats. He added, “Toucher & Rich will always be one of the biggest success stories in the history of The Sports Hub.”
• In a related story, The New England Patriots also announced a multi-year broadcast extension with 98.5 The Sports Hub, its radio flagship for the past decade.
