WMAL Lands A Big Fish

wmal-picWMAL/Washington‘s 13th Annual WMAL/Fisher House Radiothon to benefit Fisher House Foundation raised a record-setting $491,064 from the station’s generous and big-hearted listeners in the D.C. area this past weekend. The two-day event kicked off on Friday, December 2 and concluded on Saturday, December 3 with a live broadcast from The Fashion Centre at Pentagon City. Fisher House Foundation provides homes away from home for the families of injured servicemen and women while their partners are undergoing treatment and rehabilitation.

Bill Hess, who doubles as PD of WMAL and VP of News-Talk for Cumulus Media, said, “I remain in awe of WMAL listeners.
