Arizona Programming Department
• iHeartMedia’s Arizona Region announced new programming roles for Reid Spivey, Rameen Madani and David Adams, effective May 3 — let’s start with Spivey, who has been named APD and afternoon personality for Country KNIX/Phoenix. Spivey is already in the building and was most recently APD for Top 40 clustermate KZZP (104.7 Kiss FM) and Hot AC KMXP (Mix 96.9). In his new role, Spivey (left) will now work closely with KNIX MD Lois “Double L” Lewis and Steve Geofferies, who doubles as PD of KNIX and EVP of Programming for iHeartMedia’s West Division.
Rameen Madani (center) is inbound to replace Spivey as APD of KZZP and KMXP. He transfers over from iHeartMedia Tucson, where he was APD of Top 40 KRQQ and PD of Hot AC KMIY (My 92.9). David Adams (right) remains SVP of Programming for iHeartMedia Tucson and will annex PD responsibilities for My 92.9.
“The growth of our team in the Arizona Region is a key aspiration for us,” said Geofferies. “We’re confident that David, Reid and Rameen will all make moves that will grow their career and increase our ratings and revenue in the Arizona Region.” Linda Little, Region President for iHeartMedia’s Arizona Region, remarked, “This is an example of more homegrown talent developing their careers in the Arizona Region. David, Reid and Rameen each bring their own skillset that will be key to our region growth in 2018 and in the future as they continue to grow in their careers with us.”
• PS: David Adams is now actively seeking an on-air APD for KRQQ & Rhythmic KOHT (Hot 98.3)/Tucson. The position isn’t posted yet, but motivated candidates are invited to reach out to Adams directly to start the conversation. Hit him up at DavidAdams@iHeartMedia.com.
