• Throughout this COVID-19 pandemic, JVC Media has been working non-stop to bring its listeners unique, compelling, entertaining, and up-to-the-minute information on the coronavirus on its radio stations on Long Island, NY and in Orlando and Gainesville-Ocala, FL.
In between rounds as a Director at a Long Island hospital, Infectious Disease expert Dr. Rajeev Fernando has been on the air on JVC stations since February giving daily coronavirus updates and answering listener questions. Dr. Fernando remains the only U.S.-based physician to have investigated the outbreak in China. He was there when it happened and was one of the first to report that human-to-human contact was possible.
Dr. Fernando can be heard daily with Steve and Leeana Mornings on Top 40 WPTY (Party 105.3)/Long Island, and on The Shannon Burke Show Wednesdays at 5:30pm on Florida Man Radio (WDYZ/Orlando &WYGC/Gainesville) and on WRCN (LI News Radio 103.9)/Nassau/Suffolk, NY.
