• The first-ever outdoor CMT Crossroads event tapes tomorrow in downtown Nashville and features Grammy-Award winners Earth, Wind & Fire, joined by all All-Star Country crew that includes Dan + Shay, Darius Rucker, Drake White, Martina McBride, Rascal Flatts, Sara Evans and previously announced performers Lady Antebellum, who will all join the legendary group known for their hits including “September,” “Shining Star,” “Let’s Groove” and “Boogie Wonderland,” to name but a few.
Fans are invited to attend the taping tomorrow at the corner of 5th and Demonbreun in downtown Nashville. The show begins at 8:30pm CT, but you are encouraged to get there early, as the event is standing room only, first-come, first-served. The taping kicks-off the star-studded 2017 CMT Music Awards, which will be held the next evening LIVE from Nashville at 8pm ET. CMT Crossroads: Earth, Wind & Fire And Friends premieres Friday, June 23 at 10pm ET/PT. CMT Crossroads is produced by Tom Forrest with John Hamlin and Margaret Comeaux executive producing for CMT.
• iHeartMedia Top 40 WRVW (107.5 The River)/Nashville announced its second annual “River on the Rooftop” series. River on the Rooftop is a free, four-part summer concert series that takes place on the second-story outdoor patio of Nashville’s Hard Rock Café. The first River on the Rooftop event is scheduled for Thursday, June 22, starring Hailee Steinfeld, Sigrid and Hailey Knox. Future shows will feature Charlie Puth, Hey Violet, James Arthur, Noah Cyrus and more cool performers TBA.
“Last year, we launched River on the Rooftop and the feedback from artists and listeners alike was so incredible that we just had to bring it back,” said PD Jonathan Shuford. “I’m so excited about our lineup this year, which boasts artists with multiple Grammy nominees, over 10 Top 20 singles, and nearly 90 million social followers. To be able to bring a lineup of this caliber to our listeners in Nashville is truly an honor.”
River On The Rooftop is open to the public and fans can listen for a chance to win VIP passes that include exclusive patio access and a chance to meet the artists. Regular attendees will be able to experience the shows from the closed-off portion of Broadway between 1st & 2nd Avenue.
