OM Still Sought In Springfield

Mid-West Family Broadcasting is still scouring the available programming talent pool to find the perfect candidate to fill the newly created Operations Manager position for the company’s Springfield, IL cluster — News-Talk duo WMAY-AM & FM, AC WNNS, Mainstream Rock WQLZ and Country WUSW (US92.7). General Manager Harvey Wells is actively searching for a programming pro who understands that a passion for radio will get you to the door, “but being my partner in working our plan will break it open,” he said. “We will work as a team to enhance our five brands, consisting of four well-known radio stations.”

You: 1) Love to coach and develop talent, especially in the Talk format; 2) Can do an airshift in multiple formats; 3) Understand that a digital plan is not a banner ad and a station stream; 4) Realize that a remote appearance is the exact opposite of being remote to listeners; 5) Know how to make Selector sing; and 6) Have the instincts to do it your way and not wait for a corporate mandate.
