KDWB Legend Dave Ryan Announces Retirement
• After more than three decades as the Twin Cities’ trusted morning radio companion, market legend Dave Ryan, the iconic host of The Dave Ryan Show on iHeartMedia Top 40 101.3 KDWB/Minneapolis announced his impending retirement. His final broadcast on May 22 will mark the end of one of the most influential and beloved runs in Minneapolis-St. Paul radio history.
For generations of listeners, Dave Ryan wasn’t just a voice on the radio — he was a daily ritual. With his unmistakable blend of humor, honesty, and heart, Dave created a show that felt like a personal conversation with a friend. He made people laugh and offered perspective when life felt heavy.

KDWB will honor Dave Ryan’s lasting legacy with special programming, listener tributes, and on‑air celebrations leading up to his final show.
