Annaliese On The Loose
• RAMP has confirmed that Annaliese Lemieux-Kaplan has exited the morning show on Max Media Country WGH-FM (97.3 The Eagle)/Norfolk.
Lemieux-Kaplan broke the news of her departure late last week on her public Facebook page, stating, in part, “Hanging up the headphones for now, as today was unfortunately my last day at 97.3 The Eagle. 2024 is a tough time to be working in local radio broadcasting, and these types of circumstances happen more often then not in this industry. I am so, so very grateful for the opportunities that this job (and this career as a whole) have brought my way. Two days ago, was my seven-year anniversary working in radio. It’s been a wild seven years. It is so hard to find words right now. But I mustered up the strength to type this here tonight, because I wanted you all to hear it from me first.”
Lemieux-Kaplan joined The Eagle in July 2021, transitioning from the MD/morning co-host position at Saga AC WQMZ (Z95.1)/Charlottesville, VA. Since her arrival she had been paired with Cash Warren, who three weeks ago exited The Eagle after five years.
We are told to expect the Eagle to announce a new morning show within hours of you reading this. Stand by!
