Advice For Driving In Atlanta: Don’t.

You probably saw this story on the news — about a month ago a massive fire caused a portion of the heavily traveled Interstate 85 in the heart of Atlanta to collapse, severely disrupting the daily commute of over 250,000 people. As if that wasn’t crappy enough, last week I-20 spontaneously buckled, compounding the city’s traffic woes. As a result, Atlanta’s rail system has become insanely overcrowded while commuters try and figure out new ways to get to work that don’t involve actual driving. People are angry… but there is a glimmer of hope…

WNNX (Rock 100.5)/Atlanta‘s Bailey and Southside morning show has come to the rescue to help alleviate some of the frustration with a promotion they call “Free Ride Fridays” — the guys have partnered with Cooper Global Chauffeured Transportation to give one lucky listener a ride to work in one of Cooper Global’s premium black sedans every Friday until the collapsed I-85 bridge is repaired.

Listeners are invited to qualify online at baileyandsouthside.com, fill in their home and work addresses, what time they need to get picked up, and why they deserve a free ride to work. One lucky winner will be randomly selected each week to receive that awesome free ride to and from work on Friday. The show will check in with the rider on the phone throughout the morning during the winner’s commute to work.
