Hey, Frito’s Back!
• Well, that didn’t take long — after a five-month hiatus from broadcasting… five long months out in the loud and frightening “real world,” former KNDE (Candy 95)/Bryan-College Station, TX PD/morning co-host Tucker “Frito” Young has happily rejoined the Bryan Broadcasting family, this time as Director of Operations, overseeing the group’s nine area radio stations. The move also reunites him with his former morning co-host (and current KNDE PD) Katy Dempsey to relaunch Morning Candy w/ Frito and Katy.
“There are a lot of fun jobs out there, but there’s only one place that feels like home — and that’s radio,” said Young (right), who resigned from his longtime Candy 95 PD post last September and accepted a position as Area Sales Manager, Southern Region for Stylecraft Builders.
He added, “I’m looking forward to continuing what we built on here for many years and getting back on the air with Katy!! Morning Candy w/ Frito and Katy will officially relaunch this Thursday, Feb. 1. Frito can be warmly welcomed back at tucker@bryanbroadcasting.com.
